Improvised STAR WARS Auditions

ComedySportz Philadelphia, home of ComedySportz, Philly’s longest-running improv comedy show, is seeking experienced improvisers for the return of Blank: An Improvised Star Wars Story. We are looking for improvisers with a sense of play who do grounded scene work and are ready to create stories from a long time ago in a galaxy far far away!

About the show
Blank: A Star Wars Story is a fully improvised narrative Longform show about a secondary or peripheral Star Wars character from the entire canon (movies/animated series/tv). While some Star Wars knowledge helps, it is not required.

Star Wars is proudly returning to CSz Philly after it's 2024 premier and is filling a few open cast roles. The cast already includes: Max Beverly, Mary Carpenter, MyKey Carpenter, Kavita Goyal, Siobhan O'Hara, Laaura Skorina, Dave Sucharski

Compensation
Performers are paid $7.25/hour for performances at a 3 hour minimum per performance ($21.75/show).
 
Audition Times
Auditions will be held on Sunday March 9th and Monday March 10th. Any callbacks would be held on Monday March 10th 7-9pm. Please select ALL the audition times that work for you. We will contact you via email with your scheduled audition slot. 

Auditions will be at the CSz Theater: 2030 Sansom St. Philadelphia, PA 19103 (first door on the left) 

Rehearsal Commitment
All cast members will be required to attend at least 4 of the 5 rehearsals. Estimated Rehearsal Schedule:

  • March 30: 11:00-1:00

  • April 6: 5:00-7:00

  • April 13: 4:00-6:00

  • April 19: 11:00-2:00 OR 2:00-5:00 (Tech)

  • April 27: 2:00-5:00 

Performance Dates
Performers in the show are required to perform in at least 4 out of 8 shows as the cast rotates between shows.

  • Fri 5/2 7pm

  • Sun 5/4 2pm (special May Fourth edition)

  • Fri 5/9 7pm

  • Sun 5/11 2pm

  • Fri 5/16 7pm

  • Sun 5/18 2pm

  • Fri 5/23 7pm

  • Fri 5/30 7pm
    *Call time is 1 hour before show start

There is NO prerequisite for classes taken, and we welcome performers who are entirely new to CSz.
