Meet The Improv Teams of the CCC (Part 1)
/CSz Philadelphia - Home of ComedySportz is proud to be hosting the Collegiate Comedy Challenge, a three-day improv comedy competition where local college improv teams compete for fun and laughs.
And a trophy.
The Collegiate Comedy Challenge is March 1, 15, 22 @ 8PM. The Championship Round is March 22 @ 10PM.
Below we meet the teams competing on Friday March 1 @ 8PM.
The Rubber Chickens - University of Delaware
The Rubber Chickens were first founded in 1997 at the University of Delaware, and has stayed focused on a mix of short and long form improv comedy. Our group constantly tries to build each other up, and improve ourselves as well as the group with a strong focus on group mind, staying on the top of our intelligence, storytelling and relationships. Performs Friday March 1st @ 8PM.

Bearly Funny - Ursinus College
Bearly Funny Improv was founded in 2011 by Ursinus College students Max Kreisky and Tucker Bacon, and is currently led by UC '20 students Daniel Walker and Robert "Shadow" Wilf. We specialize in quick games a la “Whose Line Is It Anyway.” Performs Friday March 1st @ 8PM.

The Lighted Fools - Haverford College / Bryn Mawr College
The Lighted Fools, founded in 1991, is Haverford and Bryn Mawr Colleges' improv and sketch comedy troupe. We're a squad of nerds that love improv because it has melded our minds and souls with the funniest, most delightful people we know.
Every spring, we audition roughly 40 students from Haverford and Bryn Mawr and have to make the tough choice of picking just a few. Our newborn baby Fools are with us tonight, and this is their first ever show (shout out to Mateo, Lily, Mark, and Maia!)
We hold two shows with live sketches, video sketches, and improv every semester. Our improv philosophy is all about helping each other look good on stage and having fun with each other. If the audience has fun too, that's pretty cool!
The Lighted Fools consists of folks who are passionate about film production, backpacking, picking locks, cooking, frisbee, gaming, stand up comedy, badminton, listening to Greek ASMR, getting concussions, D&D, R&R, TLC, and, yes, improv. We're thrilled to be doing our group's first show at a professional improv venue! The Lighted Fools love you. Performs Friday March 1st @ 8PM.

Deep Dish Pizzazz - West Chester University
Considered the D-List celebrities of West Chester University, Improv Team Deep Dish Pizzazz consists of students from all areas of WCU life. Spanning almost every academic department and grade level, the cast members of this award nominated improv team perform all over the West Chester region at different events, socials, and competitions. Founded in the spring of 2013, the teams fan base has grown enormously and each show has been become the must-see event on campus. Deep Dish Pizzazz puts on 4 free shows a semester for the student body along with being hired across campus to perform at different events. Performs Friday March 1st @ 8PM.
