Don’t miss Philadelphia’s Magazine's 2024 BEST OF PHILLY winner, Theatre Contra, as they take on the holiday classic Gremlins at CSz Philadelphia!
Dare Night: Gremlins is a wild, interactive live reading/performance of the 1984 dark comedy favorite.
The twist? You’re in charge! Throughout the show, the cast will take on challenges you throw their way, steering the antics of our mischievous Mogwai. Will you keep them cute, get them wet, or feed them after midnight? Regardless, the results will be absolute mayhem!

Our 100-seat theater is comedy-intimate and ADA accessible. You get great sight-lines, comfy seats, private bathrooms, and a concessions stand with moderately-priced snacks and drinks. Everything you need is conveniently located in our space.

About Theatre Contra
Theatre Contra is a Philadelphia based theatre company established in 2018 after working together to create the successful Philadelphia Fringe Festival show, The Vs. Series. Theatre Contra is a collaborative group that works to engage the community through new, devised, and established works that focus on the visceral conflict and conviction with in us all.
During the COVID-19 Pandemic, Theatre Contra took a break to reexamine the work we are doing and how it can best impact our community. We are excited to reestablish ourselves as a mainstay in the Philadelphia Theatre Community and produce work that is accessible and entertaining to everyone.
