Our 100-seat theater is comedy-intimate and ADA accessible. You get great sight-lines, comfy seats, private bathrooms, and a concessions stand with moderately-priced snacks and drinks. Everything you need is conveniently located in our space.

Joe Gates (Storyteller) Joe Gates is a veteran Philly performer and is most well-known as producer and director of The Comedy Show Gates. He’s been doing improv for over 20 years, has taught and coached in Philly for the past 10 years, and has been a part of award-winning teams such as Sabotage, Scary Mofos, and Thank You, Places. In addition to comedy, Joe has also been involved in Renaissance Faires in PA and NJ, stage combat, Shakespeare, and he has written Gothic Horror RPGs for Live Action Role Plays. Joe has always been drawn to ghost stories, horror, and the mysterious, so he is excited to help bring some of that magic to Ghost Stories at Comedy Sportz!
