Eat Your Beats

Rap battle. Game show. Food fight.

At EAT YOUR BEATS, a group of comedians are challenged to improvise rap songs based on a culinary theme. The feats and beats change, round after round. You get to decide who moves to the next round and who gets eliminated.

It’s feast of lyrical dexterity, culinary imagination, and comedic chutzpah. Only one participant can make it to the final course and receive their true dessert!

Our 100-seat theater is comedy-intimate and ADA accessible. You get great sight-lines, comfy seats, private bathrooms, and a concessions stand with moderately-priced snacks and drinks. Everything you need is conveniently located in our space.

Ok, that's a lie.

We don’t serve alcohol.

But we are BYOB, that means no markup on liquor.

Alejandro Morales (Co-Host) Known to some as the 13th or 14th funniest comedian in Philadelphia, Alejandro Morales is the creator of the foodie game show Eat Your Beats and a founding member of the collective that came to be known locally as Good Good Comedy. In 2020 Alejandro was featured as a “Fresh Face of Comedy” at HBO’s Ha Fest. He orders his midnight cheesesteaks whiz wit.  

Malakiah Ayres (Co-Host) Since 2015 Malakiah Ayres has been a regular in the Philadelphia Comedy scene and has performed all throughout the  tri-state area, and was a finalist at Helium's 2021 Philly's Phunniest Competition.
