In Long Form 101, we will learn the basics of improv, and we will focus on agreement (“yes, and-ing”), active listening, commitment, and being present in the moment. Students will then start to apply these skills towards long form play. 

In this class, students will participate in exercises, practice scenes, create and explore characters and environments, and learn to commit to their creations and play them with joy! Students will do scene work in this class that will build toward longer, scene-based forms. 

If you’ve never done improv before, or you’d like to revisit the fundamentals of long form improv from another perspective in an inclusive, safe, and fun environment, this class is for you. The class ends in a showcase for friends and family! No prerequisite. 

Students are required to see at least one show at CSz Philly (either ComedySportz or a special show) during the 8 week course. Students see shows for free!
